Hala Elkoussy (b. 1974) was born in Cairo, where she has worked as a photographer and video artist since 1998. Her work, exhibited in Italy, Germany, Sweden, England, China and Mali, often turns on perception, communication and miscommunication. For instance, she recently produced a photo album with the history of a non-existent Egyptian family.
